Job Description

Toyo Tires Canada currently has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a CREDIT SPECIALIST at our Montreal, QC location!We thank all applicants in advance for their interest in this position, however, only local candidates who are currently located in Montreal and legally authorized to work in Canada will be contacted. Due to the volume of applications, we are unable to respond to phone, in-person, or agency inquiries.OVERVIEWThe Credit Specialist is responsible for contacting clients and collecting outstanding payments while striking a balance between maintaining trustful relationships and ensuring timely payments. The Credit Specialist will exhibit professionalism and trustworthiness and have excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as an ability to work independently.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESKey responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by the company.

  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and follow-up with clients
  • Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Review accounts receivable records for accuracy and investigate discrepancies or errors
  • Perform credit adjudication
  • Review credit hold orders
  • Resolve billing and customer credit issues
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly reports
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients
  • Investigate disputed invoices in a timely manner and respond to clients
  • Contact servicing dealers and advise of problematic transactions
  • Process National Account returns and pricing corrections
  • Assist servicing dealers with National Account B2B entries
  • Identify and resolve problematic National Account transactions
  • Assist with National Account price files for accuracy
  • Assist with communication of semi-annual or annual programs to National Account customers
  • Maintain a current listing of National Account clientele
  • Communicate authorized servicing dealer listing to all Fleet Lease Management accounts
QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Must be bilingual and fluent in English and French
  • Minimum Diploma of Collegial Studies or equivalent education
  • Demonstrable experience as a credit specialist
  • Intermediate knowledge of credit principles
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven experience working with information and data management systems
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work
  • Ability to handle a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Professionalism in analyzing information
Due to the nature of this role, we will require successful completion of background checks including employment reference and criminal record checks.LOCATION & HOURSThis position will be based out of our Montreal office located at:

  • This role is a full-time, year-round 40 hour per week position (Mon – Friday, 8am - 5pm)
