The Coordinator for Digital and Large Format Operations reports to the VP of Operations and works with the Production Director. Your role in the organization is to ensure that the printing and prepress departments of the digital and large format printing division are running smoothly and to make purchases for external binding, if necessary. You will plan the production (digital printing, large format, binding, shipping) with the Production Manager.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure you have a clear understanding of the work to be performed and have all the required information;
  • Open the production bag for digital and large controls;
  • Evaluate the prepress, printing, and finishing to optimize the means of production, with the press operators and the Production Director;
  • Review the final test, obtain approval and authorize printing;
  • Follow the production steps from pre-print to delivery.
Technical Requirements and Required Skills
  • Very good knowledge of printing related products and components;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the printing industry, preferably in the production of sheet press (press, cutter, or other);
  • Mastering the Windows environment, having ease with computer software and numbers;
  • Respect for confidentiality;
  • Ability to organise by order of priority and organise ones time;
  • Meeting tight deadlines,
  • Good ability to negotiate;
  • Good ability to work in a team environment;
  • Rigor, thoroughness, and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work under pressure and react quickly;
  • Ability to work on multiple files simultaneously and excellent organizational skills;
  • Knowledge of the computer environment, prepress and/or digitization.
  • Bilingualism required (English and French) written and oral communication;
  • Good at customer service;
