Job Description

Imperial Dade Canada, leading national distributor, has a job open in Mississauga, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton and Montreal. The EDI Technical Analyst will work closely with EDI Coordinator, Developers, Project Managers and system users as well as customers and vendors. The EDI Technical Analyst will focus on the development and maintenance of the EDI systems and interactions with various sub systems. The EDI Technical Analyst will be responsible for the mapping of EDI documents and testing with EDI Coordinator. The EDI Technical Analyst may also be called upon to work directly with EDI partners during the on-boarding process. The EDI Technical Analyst will assist with trouble shooting production issues.Imperial Dade is the leading distributor of foodservice packaging, facilities maintenance supplies and equipment in the U.S and Canada.   • Identify the business needs of both internal and external partners to help determine solutions to EDI problems,
  • Working with the EDI Coordinator and using EDI specifications, determine mapping and development requirements to meet the business needs.
  • Coordinate all testing functions to ensure an error free implementation
    • Provide test scripts for UAT
    • Provide final sign off of all testing results
  • Work with systems development team to ensure delivery to the required specifications as it relates to EDI projects, enhancements or support.
  • Work closely with users, management and IT groups to come up with innovative solutions, whether it be PC, Mainframe or process modification
  • Considers cost, benefit, future plans when evaluating solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Support all EDI from source to final destination. ERP to Partner or Partner to ERP.
  • Support all electronic file transfers with customers and vendors. Including but not limited to Summary Billings, Electronic Catalogues & Point of Sales Reports.
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate or college degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years EDI mapping.
  • Minimum 3 years IBM/Sterling EDI experience (GIS, SI, B2B Integrator)
  • Experience with .Net, REST API, Java, MSSQL, JASON and C++ is required
  • Experience with Unix/Linux is an asset.
  • Good understanding of all aspects of the business
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking
  • Understanding of databases and data manipulation
  • Business process requirements and system requirements (i.e. solution options)
  • Possesses Time Management skills
  • Communication (written & oral) and facilitation.
  • Working with all levels within an organization including senior executives, managers, front lines, corporate and technical staff.
  • Managing multiple priorities and developing relationships with the business community, customers and vendors.
  • Bilingual is an asset.
