Job Description

CDS Foods is the largest importer of fresh garlic, fresh ginger and shallots in Canada and we are looking for a senior logistics professional.This position is the critical hub in the supply chain network; you must ensure that communication is addressed on a timely basis. You must have a keen knowledge of the ever-changing industry. You will play a role in identifying the lead times, constraints, and opportunities that exist in the world of logistics and explaining these considerations to cross-departmental leaders.The ideal candidate is a self-starter, organized, detail-focused, experienced and a great communicator.Advantages

What you will bring to the role
  • 3 years of ocean import experience a must
  • Meticulous, detail-focus
  • Proficiency in English spoken and written, and functional French (Chinese or Spanish an asset)
  • Exceptional organizational skills and capable of prioritizing workload
  • Possess the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Knowledge of SAP Business One is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel are essential
As a Ocean Import Specialist you will contribute to our team by
  • Coordinate the movement of time sensitive product via ocean and inland transportation modes
  • Carry out daily tracking and tracing of shipments to ensure that you are always aware of any changes in departure and arrival times.
  • Ensure that all required import/export documentation is acquired from shipper or created and completed in a timely manner.
  • Keep department leaders updated of status and ensure that any delays or other changes in their schedule is immediately communicated.
  • Prepare and submit required customs documents for shipments
Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per yearAdditional pay:
