Job Description

  • Actively support the management in promoting and creating the HSE culture
  • Assist the HSE specialists
  • Perform inspections in the manufacturing area
  • Create performance indicators for the manufacturing area
  • Create effective communication tools (signage, presentations, etc.) to inform staff on HSE improvements and goals
  • Update HSE information database and Sharepoint. Archive as needed.
  • Assist scheduling HSE training for staff, Including ABB Way requirements. Keep records/archiving.
  • Perform work cell valuations (5S+S)
  • Create a list of local resources and make available on HSE database
  • Signal all hazards, incidents in internal software tracking system
  • Assist manufacturing supervisors in interring HSE data into software
  • Assist with HSE committee and take minutes
  • Participate in HSE events
  • Other related tasks
Your background
  • Recognized health and safety training (in progress or new graduate)
  • WHMIS training
  • Experience or knowledge in a production setting (an asset)
  • Skilled in information technologies (Office, Sharepoint, etc.)
  • Effective organizer
  • Focused on efficient communications and information sharing
  • Proactive and motivated self-starter
