JOB INFORMATIONJob Title:Payroll Administrator 3Department:HR Shared ServicesReports to Position:Payroll ManagerLocation:Hybrid to Remote depending on locationEffect. Date:9/20/2022JOB SUMMARYThe primary function of the role is to perform the payroll duties necessary for the completion of the payroll processes each pay period. The scope of initial responsibilities is to process multiple Canada payrolls supporting 900 employees. We are seeking advanced experience in Canada ADP Workforce Now, with a variety of responsibilities ranging from routine to complete.This role can encompass payroll support for 2 countries, 3 payroll systems, 3 time keeping systems across with multiple divisions and legal entities. Supports 2700 union and non-union employees.#LI-RemoteESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  • Process routine complex and non-complex biweekly payroll runs for employees across multiple divisions and legal entities. Collects, organizes, and enters pay data into payroll systems, review variances and exception audits to ensure an accurate payroll including reconciling hours and other earnings and adjustments. Ensure accurate payroll processing for employees and related calculation results.
  • Responsible for entry of, analysis, deduction processing, and payment of deductions to appropriate agencies as applicable.
  • Analyzes, calculates and processes taxable fringe benefits such as use of company vehicles, employee stock programs, relocation, etc.
  • Performs payroll processes and global reconciliation of wages for inpatriate and expatriate employees
  • Responsible for Quarterly and Annual standard work such as tax analysis, filing, and remittance
  • Frequently administers non-standard payroll tasks
  • Ensures work activities are consistent and running efficiently, discover inconsistencies, document, and communicate the need for changes
  • Identifies key issues and patterns from partial and conflicting data. Takes broad perspective to problems and finds new/less obvious solutions.
  • Once trained, able to receive little instruction on daily work;
  • Will work on assignments that are of moderate difficulty, requiring judgement in resolving issues

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: High School
  • Experience: 3 years’ payroll experience
  • Exemplary attendance and ability to work mandatory overtime and holidays as needed to perform payroll duties. Ability to flex schedule to overlap with team members to complete job duties effectively.
  • Certifications/Licenses: none required but PCP/CPM certification in Canada or FPC/CPP certification or training is beneficial
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Must have high level of experience with ADP Workforce Now for payroll.
    • Not required but desirable: Experience in Oracle HRMS, KRONOS, Workday and/or other ADP products
    • If working from home must have, and maintain, sufficient internet access. Maintain confidential workspace free from distractions
    • Must have, and frequently use, a smart phone and frequently use a variety of applications. Comfortable with mobile technology and ability to teach others and trouble shoot barriers in use. Must be willing to download and use a variety of applications on own device.
    • Proficient with MS office. Specifically, Microsoft Teams, Excel and Outlook
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Working Environment: Hybrid approach - primarily working from home (if desired) with 1 days a week if near a Weir location. HR Shared Services Team is in various locations in the US and Canada with all meetings hosted virtually on video.
  • Payroll team is part of HR Shared Services
  • Physical Demands: General administrative; regularly require sitting, use hands and fingers. Employee is frequently required to talk, hear and visually see and read data on monitors.
  • Travel Requirements: possible, but infrequent
