Payroll TechnicianWe are hiring a payroll technician for a position within a manufacturing company. This unionized role, with a salary scale based on the collective agreement, offers a long-term opportunity with the possibility of becoming permanent.What is in it for you:• Hourly salary between $31.50 and $35.41, determined by your experience and in accordance with the union salary scale.• 5-month contract, until summer, with the possibility of permanence.• Full-time position: 40 hours per week.• Hybrid work: 1 in-office day (Thursday) in Saint-Eustache, the rest remote.• Availability required from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM for meetings and other obligations.• Key role within a multinational company offering a dynamic work environment.• Engaging and collaborative work environment.Responsibilities:• Digitize payroll data received from the HR service center.• Transfer data to the external payroll system and verify working hours.• Enter necessary information for payroll processing.• Apply collective agreement clauses related to compensation.• Ensure compliance with legal provisions regarding remuneration (supplements, adjustments, deductions, suspensions, vacation payments, etc.).• Compile information and request checks for third-party payments.• Generate various reports and perform calculations and verifications related to payroll.• Process information requests from various external organizations.• Manage month-end accounts payable closure.• Validate and enter employee expense reports into the system.• Gather current data and anticipate provisions for CNESST and vacation throughout the year.• Perform any other related tasks.What you will need to succeed:• DEC in Finance or Accounting.• Certification from the Canadian Payroll Association (an asset).• 3 to 5 years of experience in payroll management, ideally in a manufacturing environment.• Experience processing Canadian payroll only.• Proficiency in Excel and payroll systems such as Nethris and UKG.• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.• Strong communication skills and diplomacy.• Meticulous attention to detail.• Bilingual in English and French to handle information requests from various external organizations and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Why Recruit ActionRecruit Action (agency permit: AP-2000003) provides recruitment services through quality support and a personalized approach to job seekers and businesses.
