Joining us means joining a truly global community of more than 75 000 people dedicated to solving real-world mobility challenges and achieving international projects with sustainable local impact.Join us as Procurement Manager, and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in St Bruno, QC.It is the Procurement leader that manages directly the buyers and the Procurement team in his scope: relays to Procurement any information or decision that could impact respective activities such as organizational changes, supplier difficulties, local/central instructions, Make or Buy decisions.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTeam management and development: manage headcount and staffing, monitor local Procurement team workload and process to arbitration, develop team competencesApply & support Alstom Procurement rules, process & toolsApply the Local risk management governanceProvide to central Procurement site input to impact commodity strategiesSupport, challenge and validate PTM in tender management (Local and Global Commodities)Support, challenge and validate Procurement commitments for Local CommoditiesSupport local Procurement team to face commercial and contractual negotiation during project execution phaseTrack Procurement performance in project and issue action plan in case of deviationAnalyzes risks and sets appropriate mitigation planSupport supply chain to monitor and secure raw material inventory and OTIF objectivesSupport accounting department to align on invoice accounting and payable daysActively participate on industrial continuous improvementREQUIRED PROFILEEngineering or Business School and Master’s degreeProcurement professional background, Minimum of three years working experience in purchasing5 to 10 years of experience in IndustryStrong Leadership and interpersonal skills (leadership, communication, ability to convince)Ability to work in a matrix environmentTeam management, negotiation, strategic vision,Results orientedNegotiation and strategic visionFluent in English with international mindsetAn agile, inclusive and responsible culture is the foundation of our company where diverse people are offered excellent opportunities to grow, learn and advance in their careers.
