YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:Under the supervision of the team leader of his or her department, the Production Labourer must perform various tasks in the assembly of electrical and electronic components, handling, packaging, preparation and cleaning of parts and will safely operate various production-related equipment and machinery.
  • Reads, understands and applies blueprints and specifications;
  • Fits and assembles machined metal parts and sub-assemblies using hand tools;
  • Assembles electrical and/or electronic components;
  • Packs products for shipment;
  • Operate machinery;
  • Handle various materials;
  • Verify dimensions of products to ensure they meet specifications;
  • Operate simple machinery such as sandblasters, benders, filtering machines, etc;
  • Assist machinery operators in their duties;
  • Ensure quality control;
  • Follow company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Provide training to new employees.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Be able to use tools such as drill, grinder, band saw, sandblaster,
  • Be able to work independently
  • Be in good physical shape and able to lift loads
  • Be able to use a computer system
  • Be able to read a plan
  • Be able to use and interpret measuring instruments
