Job Description

Project ControllerPermanent Saint-LaurentAAA Canada is a manufacturing company that has been providing subcontracting and technical assistance to industrialization, production and maintenance processes for about 15 years!We operate in the Aerospace, Ground Transportation and Energy sectors.A typical day

  • The Project Controller (PCO) is responsible for the execution of specific project related activities throughout the project life cycle.
  • The primary function of the PCO is to assist the Project Manager in the monitoring of progress and performance, finance, scheduling, analysis, reporting, closeout, and other client related activities as well as administrative tasks.
  • Understand, comply and act in accordance with project management requirements and the contract.
  • Track and update billing and payment schedules.
  • Perform monthly financial analysis and support project review cycles.
  • Evaluate key performance indicators (including earned value management) for cost/schedule/performance.
  • Identify variances and assess impact.
  • Implement changes related to project finances - manage data and systems;
  • Process changes requests and scenario based analysis.
  • Implement changes to schedule.
  • Provide project governance and risk tracking system support.
  • Produce/manage documentation required by the client/project/contract.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative environments.
  • Liaise with client, internal organizations and sub-contractors.
  • Execute control processes implemented by the Project Management Office (PMO) analyst group.
  • Perform administrative tasks and associated documentation.
  • Participate/lead process improvement activities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in business or finance, combined with 2-5 years of experience, equivalent combination related to project planning and control or College Degree.
  • Combine 8 years of experience in a project environment, ideally in long term projects.
  • Certification in project management (CAPM/PMP) is an asset.
  • Experience in an ERP and MS Project environment, an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Minimum experience in a project management office.
  • Relevant experience in an industrial environment and comfortable in a software and engineering environment an asset.
  • Ability to manage time and multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Innovation, creativity, sense of ownership.
  • Bilingualism (French - English) in oral and written communication is an important asset for communication in the multilingual environment of the client site and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
