Job Description

Choosing Air Transat means having a competitive compensation and a full range of benefits, including travel benefits, but is also means working with a team of aviation enthusiats.The Supervisor, Maintenance Control Center (MCC) is part of the multidisciplinary team of the Operations Control Center and acts as a representative of the Technical Operations Department. He/she maintains liaisons between the various services of Technical and Flight Operations Departments. The Supervisor also contributes to the coordination of actions of the Maintenance Department to maintain a high level of safety, reliability and operational efficiency.Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy of the MEL submitted by the technicians or the pilots while ensuring that the restrictions are consistent with the planned operation;
  • Provide technical support to the pilots and the stations;
  • Coordinate the work of all stakeholders in an AOG situation at outbase and ensure the follow up on parts order and/or the sending of a “rescue team”;
  • Produce daily reports for operational and technical monitoring (delay reports, incident reports, MEL lists, etc.);
  • Participate in daily meetings and follow up actions to ensure the established planning.
Requirements
  • Hold a Licence of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) M2; (Avionic or Mechanic)
  • Possess ten (10) years of experience in aircraft maintenance;
  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems and structures;
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Able to make informed, firm and precise decisions, while exercising good judgment and leadership;
  • An outstanding communicator, able to disseminate information in ambiguous situations;
  • Demonstrates interpersonal flexibility;
  • Able to work effectively as a team in a stressful environment;
  • Ability to operate in multitasking and highly adaptable;
  • Bilingualism (French / English);
  • Spanish or another language is an asset;
  • Good organizational skills, autonomy and resourcefulness;
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, AMOS);
  • The candidate must be available to do flexible hours according to operational needs.
  • Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination required.
