The Work:We are looking for a motivated candidate to fill the position of Training, Health and Safety Coordinator in Northern New Brunswick. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing training and health and safety programs and initiatives designed to ensure a safe work environment and prevent injuries and accidents at various sites.
  • Coordinate the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate the implementation of training programs related to operations and health and safety.
  • Implementation of a new training program.
  • Ensure compliance with JDI standards an occupational health and safety laws.
  • Establish a culture focused on prevention and leading indicator activities.
  • Raise awareness among employees and managers of good occupational health and safety practices.
  • Communicating with supervisors about employees not following policies.
  • Conduct investigations related to incidents and ensure that recommendations issued are implemented.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, track security KPIs, analyze information.
  • Prepare statistics for key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate the activities of the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
  • Analyze and maintain training records and requirements.
  • Manage and maintain various health and safety programs.
Your qualifications:
  • A post-secondary degree in security and related discipline would be considered an asset.
