Job Description

As a Field Coordinator you will ensure that work completed in the field is compliant with established scopes of work and contracts. This position is the liaison and main point of contact between our contractors and management teams. Your goal will be to lead constructability and scheduling activities for your area of responsibility as well communicate progress back to the project team.What We Offer:

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead constructability and scheduling activities for area of responsibility and communicate and report progress to project team
  • Perform safety audits to maintain a safe construction site and safe access for employees by identifying and removing hazards daily, monitor contractor compliance to the Safety Link program, and validate that non-operated equipment is set up in a safe location that does not interfere with other activities
  • Develop milestones and track planned progress and quality of work being performed by the trades, report issues, make recommendations, and work to resolve in a timely manner
  • Utilize construction/maintenance schedule to develop weekly milestones and work toward those milestones; manage risks to achieve milestones, highlighting them, making recommendations to mitigate risk, and implementing recommendations or providing solutions
  • Primary point of contact and coordination between contractors; act to resolve issues impeding construction efforts from advancing and provide clarity on field direction to establish alignment
  • Review field punch lists, inspection reports, field change notices (FCN #39;s) and other communication tools to monitor and validate that each is addressed to meet time commitments
  • Monitor and validate that outstanding punch items from a project are addressed as soon as practical and that all contractors and operated / non-operated equipment is demobilized
  • Validate that all spares and surplus materials are returned to the warehouse
  • Collaborate with management and key stakeholders to ensure outstanding exceptions from a PSSR (Pre Startup Safety Review) following project commissioning are addressed
Your Skills:
  • Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint for reporting and presentation on work progress.
  • Solutions oriented; work with contractors on solutions to possible risks while at the same time holding them accountable for completing work as agreed to in the contract.
  • Very safety focused.
  • Strong relationship building skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of the importance of documentation and following established procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail; able to carry out final tasks to close out projects and work orders.
Your Experience:
  • 5-10 years of refinery or related experience dealing with contractors on various levels.
  • Ability to read an interpret Gantt Charts.
  • Working knowledge of Scheduling software such as MS Project and /or Primavera would be an advantage.
