Job Description

With a culture that nurtures talent and creates an inclusive workplace, you can grow your career across our diverse operating divisions.We #39;re looking for an Operations Manager who takes pride in their work and won #39;t shy away from responsibility and the chance to make their mark on a major enterprise.Answering to the Director of Technical Services, the successful candidate will be someone who thrives in a leadership role, communicates effectively, and believes in our culture of continuous improvement and growth.Overseeing our energetic technical team, the Operations Manager will be responsible for motivating performance, maintaining efficiency standards, and producing quality that exceeds the expectations of our customers. If you #39;re someone who is willing and able to take command and make a position their own, we want to reward that initiative.The successful candidate will possess a combination of the following:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflict and build teams.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • A proven track record of being pro-active and taking initiative.
  • The flexibility to adapt to a changing operation schedule.
  • Bachelor #39;s Degree in Engineering, preferably with a focus in Mechanical or Industrial is considered a strong asset.
  • 5 or more years of manufacturing/productionamp; service experience.
  • 3 or more years of supervisory experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize equipment, supplies and personnel to maximize productivity.
  • Identify productivity improvementsamp; increasing customer focus.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to employees to ensure that standard operating procedures are understood and followed.
  • Document and maintain accurate records with respect to employee performance, product quality, daily reconciliation, health and safety, and attendance.
  • Foster and maintain a positive labor relations environment by ensuring that all employees are treated with respect, ensure employee concerns are managed in accordance with the collective agreement, and on occasion address grievances in a timely manner.
  • Develop, lead and coach employees through effective training and recognition.
