Job Description

Civil Project Manager Saint John, NB Our client, a heavy civil construction company is looking for a Project Manager to join their Engineering team. Responsibilities

  • Develop Site Work Schedules: Create and manage site work schedules, ensuring all environmental and safety requirements are met before project initiation.
  • Resource Managementamp; Budgeting: Prepare and track budgets, manage costs, and ensure resource allocation aligns with project needs.
  • Contract Administration: Oversee contract administration, manage relationships with sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure project compliance and quality.
  • Client Meetingsamp; Problem Resolution: Initiate and participate in meetings with clients to resolve issues, address design changes, and ensure project alignment with client expectations.
  • Team Leadershipamp; Coaching: Act as a mentor and resource for your team, providing guidance and support to foster a high-performing work environment.
  • Design Compliance: Ensure all construction activities adhere to approved design specifications and standards.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and quality.
  • Progress Claimsamp; Invoicing: Generate and submit progress claims and invoices to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.
Qualifications
  • Experience in Large Civil Projects: 3-5+ years of direct experience managing large civil projects with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
  • Education: A Civil Engineering Degree is required; Professional Engineer (P. Eng) designation is preferred.
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset; P.Tech certification is required.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Project and Excel, advanced understanding of civil engineering concepts, and strong leadership skills. Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and exceptional time management are essential.
  • Language: Full professional proficiency in English.
