Job Description

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, Business and/or relevant demonstrated management experience within a manufacturing environment, or equivalent training and experience, that provides the necessary HR knowledge of laws, legislative regulations, practices and procedures impacting a manufacturing unionized environment and operation.
  • HR Designation – CHRP, CHRL, CHRE or working towards designation achievement an asset.
  • 5 – 7+ years of HR experience as a generalist, manager, partner, preferably within an industrial manufacturing unionized environment.
  • Organizational development/effectiveness, employee/labor relations, performance management, and change management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills with the ability to build partnerships and generate consensus, including strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Highly developed and innovative critical thinking skills with the ability to conceptualize, analyze and problem solve within a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, accompanied by a strong initiative and self-motivation.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to develop leadership talent through coaching, mentoring, education, and leading by example.
  • Ability to effectively promote diversity, appreciating that different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics that bring richness, growth, innovation, and engagement to the Company.
  • Demonstrated ability and behavior to effectively support our Core Values of Respect, Trust and Collaboration, and promote our Principles of Professional Conduct
  • Proficiency, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, HRIS systems, ability to learn and adapt to new technology and computer systems.
