Job Description

CORE SHACK ATTENDANTTEMPORARY POSITION (4 Months)Position to fill 2Code EXP22-10The place of work is in NunavikDeadline to apply July 5th 2022The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks of rest.Privileges & benefits

ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Exploration Geologist, the Core shack Helper is responsible for assisting the Project Geologists. His main responsibilities are:
  • To assist the geologists in their day-to-day tasks;
  • Assist in the management of the core shack;
  • Receiving and storing boxes of cores;
  • Assist in the handling of core boxes, rejects and pulps and other materials;
  • Assist logistics planner with field work;
  • Perform any other tasks that the project geologist or logistics planner deems necessary to ensure the efficiency and quality of exploration activities.
Qualifications
  • Be in good physical shape, be able to lift heavy weights (maximum of 45 lbs);
  • Valid drivers license;
  • Interest in geology and exploration and mining industry;
Assets
  • Bilingual (French and English).
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook);
