Job Description

Maintenance Coordinator Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for all operations related to preventive and corrective maintenance as well as building management.The maintenance coordinator is responsible for planning and directing all maintenance activities so that the work is carried out in a safe, effective, secure, and efficient manner in the use of resources. The maintenance coordinator supports a team of electromechanics and ensures maximum efficiency of the equipment. In addition, he provides leadership to the team of electro-mechanics, ensuring their commitment and continuous learning. As a member of the maintenance team, he also performs equipment maintenance while performing the management role with his team.ResponsibilitiesAs a Maintenance Coordinator, you will have the following role:

  • Oversee maintenance activities and program implementation aimed at compliance with health and safety standards in order to achieve maximum productivity;
  • Manage and lead the maintenance team in the execution of the work;
  • Participate in maintenance work in the different factories and on the different machines;
  • Support the maintenance team on a daily basis and act as a technical resource;
  • Implement and manage routine systems for solving technical problems;
  • Review budgets and schedules to ensure the smooth running of ongoing projects;
  • Identify and prioritize the major maintenance issues with production and initiate and develop action plans to resolve these problems;
  • Communicate performance issues to supervisors, team members and members of management;
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and provide technical support in optimizing equipment;
  • Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices of his team, management of chemicals and management of risky maintenance work;
  • Promote a positive work environment through teamwork.
Experience and skills of the ideal candidate
  • Hold a diploma: DEP, DEC or BAC in mechanics, automation, electricity or other relevant fields;
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience combining technical experience and team management, preferably in a manufacturing environment;
  • Be a person recognized for their leadership and rigor;
  • Has excellent skills in personnel management;
  • Computer skills: SAP (asset) & Microsoft Office;
  • Have strong communication skills, excellent judgment, an excellent sense of ethics and be results oriented.
