Job Description

Quality control inspectorPosition Summary

  • Permanent, full-time position (40 hours/week)
  • Day shift
  • Number of positions to fill: 1

The Challenge
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications;
  • Perform Visual Inspection;
  • Perform Dimensional Inspection;
  • Verify compliance of equipment to customer drawings and specifications;
  • Verify the type of materials used for fabrication against code requirements and customer requirements;
  • Verify and approve material test certificates from suppliers;
  • Document non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions;
  • Write control documents and inspection reports;
  • All other related tasks.
Requirements
  • DEC in mechanical engineering or other training deemed equivalent;
  • Experience in quality control (an asset);
  • Experience in a custom manufacturing plant (an asset);
  • Knowledge of ASME codes (an asset);
  • Bilingualism (English-French);
  • Knowledge of the Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Skills required
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings;
  • Ability to work with measuring tools;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Thoroughness, meticulousness and attention to detail;
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
