Job Description

SupervisorReporting to the VP-Production Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for managing production in support of his or her team leaders, taking charge of human resources, health and safety, and continuous improvement projects for his or her departments, which include approximately 20 employees. To do so, he or she will perform the following tasks:Supervision of production

  • Support the team leaders for all needs related to production management.
  • Lead employees to meet the organizations expectations in terms of productivity, quality and achievement of objectives (KPI).
Human Resources Management
  • Onboarding and integration: Carry out the required activities in accordance with the onboarding and integration process of its employees.
  • Performance Evaluation: Complete evaluation forms and present them to employees in accordance with the companys evaluation process. Ensures that the skills development activities of its resources are carried out properly.
  • Communication: Facilitate regular team meetings to keep resources informed.
  • Corporate culture: Share and promote the company culture throughout the departments and emphasize the mission, vision and values.
  • Administrative activities: Perform all administrative tasks (time sheet, absence request, etc.)
Health, safety and environment management
  • Act as a leader in Health, Safety and Environment by ensuring :
  • Compliance and enforcement of Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures,
  • by acting proactively in identifying potential risks
  • by raising employee awareness,
  • Etc.
Management of continuous improvement projects
  • Develop strategies to optimize productivity, costs and reduce losses and/or expenses, through best practice tools (Lean, 5 S, etc.) in collaboration with the Production Manager.
Required Education and Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years of production management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Training and experience in welding and assembly (asset)
  • Training and experience in plasma cutting, chamfering, forming and machining (asset)
  • Any management training is considered an asset
