Job Description

Permanent Part-Time Retail Sales Associate BilingualAre you someone who “Dares to do Better” with everything you doDo you thrive working in a fast-paced environmentAre you passionate about providing exceptional customer serviceDo you enjoy celebrating the small wins and having funEssential InformationTitle: Permanent Part-Time Retail Sales AssociateLocation: Store 47 SalisburyUnion district: 3Language requirement: Written and spoken competency in English and French (meeting level “Intermediate or Level 2”)Closing date: December 16, 2021Trial period: Five monthsAbout the PositionPermanent Part-Time Retail Sales Associates are engaged and energetic members of the Retail team. They bring skills in customer service, teamwork, and problem solving, and consistently act with initiative and good judgement.PPTs are scheduled to work a minimum of 30 hours a week, including Fridays, weekends, and additional shifts when requested by the Employer. They are entitled to one Saturday and one Sunday off every fourth week, with the option to work these days if requested. On occasion, they may be required to perform the duties of a higher classification as assigned by the Employer. The successful PPT candidate will be required to work at the assigned store for a minimum period of six months, however they may be transferred to another location without notice. All team members must comply with ANBL’s obligations under the NB Official Languages Act.What will you be doing

  • Delivering a B.E.S.T. customer experience
  • Selling products, handling cash, and operating a cash register
  • Light to moderate lifting (up to 40 lbs) to receive and process stock
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Routine clerical and office tasks
  • Light cleaning and custodial work

  • Presently employed as a Permanent Part-Time Retail Sales Associate
  • Completed all four (4) ANBL Product Knowledge courses
    • Beer 1
    • Spirits 1
    • Wine 1
    • Wine 2
  • Completed the Retail Sales Associate certification from the Retail Council of Canada or the PPT prerequisite courses in the KEG portal
    • Note: PPT team members who became PPTs prior to October 14, 2020, are exempt from completing the PPT prerequisite courses in the KEG portal
  • Spoken and written communication meeting the standards and requirements outlined in the Essential Information above
For a vacancy (Internal Applicants)
  • Presently employed as a Casual Retail Sales Associate with a successfully completed trial period
  • Completed all four (4) ANBL Product Knowledge courses
    • Beer 1
    • Spirits 1
    • Wine 1
    • Wine 2
  • Competed the Retail Sales Associate certification from the Retail Council of Canada or the PPT prerequisite courses in the KEG portal
  • Spoken and written communication meeting the standards and requirements outlined in the Essential Information above
For a vacancy (External Applicants)
  • Grade 12 education or GED. Additional education, such as university or community college, will improve opportunity to succeed in the competition
  • Must have ability to deal accurately with numerical and alphabetical detail and the ability to adapt and resolve problems
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in customer service or retail
