Job Description

We are looking for full-time Multi Service Workers (Kitchen/Food Service Support) to work at Lakeside Manor, our independent senior living community in Salmon Arm, BC. Multi Service Workers provide support in preparing and serving meals to our Residents as well as support to our Housekeeping department with public area cleaning and upkeep.Status: Full-time, 40 hours per weekShifts: Full-time, Friday to Tuesday 1030am-7pmHourly Rate: $15.65 per hour plus $0.50 per hour shift differential premium for afternoon and evening shifts.Why work for Vantage Living

Position Overview:
  • Following food safe practices and company policies and procedures, assists with the preparation, presentation, delivery and service of meals. Respects the choices and preferences of Residents in meal service. Conducts clean up after meals;
  • Delivers exemplary housekeeping and laundry services within Resident suites, amenity spaces and common/administrative areas. Organizes cleaning schedules around Residents needs and requests.
  • Stocks the common area kitchen ensuring proper inventory rotation methods are utilized for all perishable products;
  • Collects and distributes bedding and towels to service areas in accordance with pre-determined top up levels. Washes, dries and folds flat linens and towels;
To Be Considered:
  • Previous hospitality experience is an asset;
  • Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Comfortable working alone or in a team environment;
  • Able to plan, organize and deliver services with minimal supervision;
  • Current WHMIS Certification is an asset; and
  • Current Food Safe certificate Level 1 – Basic (or equivalent) is an asset.
