Job Description

Employees at Fluor Driver are the foundation of a strong team.Job OverviewThe QA/QC Administrator role both reports to and takes direction from the Site Manager. The primary responsibility of the Document Control employee is to compile and maintain control records and related files to release blueprints, drawings, and engineering documents.Performance Objectives

Technical Objectives
  • Manages content accuracy, and integrity of all project documentation
  • Stores, sends , receives, secures, revises, retrieves, distributes, tracks down and archives electronic and hard copy documents
  • Inputs data and maintains drawings and documents in an electronic drawings management system (EDMS), and ensures the latest revision is posted and accessible
  • Maintains and updates the project hard copy library and ensures the integrity of the library is kept up at all times
  • Copies, scans, and organizes essential Quality documents including but not limited to the maintenance of common logs (for example: RFI, NCR, NDE certifications etc.)
  • Assembles packages of documents for EWP’s (Engineering Work Packages) and CWP’s (Construction Work Packages)
  • Handles queries from the project team and runs reports when required
  • Reviews specifications and engineering documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency of requirements
  • Ensures the document control function is being performed in accordance with corporate procedures and project requirements in a timely and efficient manner
  • Prepares and processes documents for scanning, printing, copying, and archiving
  • Liaises with external and offsite project document control teams, via telephone, email and online meetings
  • Tracks the submissions and returns of critical documents throughout the entire project.
Technical Skills
  • Works with minimal supervision, independently or in a team environment
  • Knowledge of relational databases and project collaboration systems
  • Knowledge of database import and export systems and procedures
  • Experience in engineering and vendor document control
  • Familiar with Microsoft SharePoint
  • Strong attention to detail, technical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Advanced computer literacy with the ability to learn new systems and programs quickly and efficiently.
Safety ObjectiveThe responsibility for safety and safe work performance lies with each individual. Each worker must work closely with the job site supervisors to ensure a safe work environment.
