Our training programs are also a leader in the security industry, and they will help prepare you for advancements, as well as build your resume for a potential career in law enforcement.Position Overview:Reporting to the Security Front Line Supervisor serving IOL this position has the primary responsibility to perform all duties related to the Site Access Control System to control access to the Imperial Oil Sarnia Site for the purpose of security.This position involves familiarity of the Imperial Oil Sarnia site and its practices, as well as an extensive general computer knowledge to perform all required tasks.Portal Gate Essential Job Functions:Duties and Responsibilities:Site Access Control System management includes administration and operation to ensure that:All system devices (doors, readers, gates, cameras etc.) are working and maintained to operate as required.All cardholders have necessary accesses.Access is provided in accordance with site policies (authorized custodians, card holders possess the necessary prerequisites).Access provided is in accordance with requirements.Photo ID are produced.Participate in updating or creating new procedures pertaining to system.Activate the site Send Word Now and Everbridge call out systems for the Site Fire Marshall.Monitor site CCTV throughout the shift and perform CCTV tours regularly.Accessing the IEC database to check expiry dates for workers coming on site.Clip videos and save them for IOL/Paladin management to access when requested.Details of the job are as follows:Operate Site Access Control System to control access to the Imperial Oil Sarnia Site for the purpose of security.Operate Photo ID System in cooperation with the Site Access Control System for the purpose of security.Ensure/Request supplies for Site Access Control System when needed.Issue, activate, reactivate, and deactivate Site Access Control System cards on authorized request.Ensure photos of all Site Access Control System applicants are in the Site Access Control SystemMonitor User Operations and assist with trouble areas.Review Operator Logs daily for temporary modifications on cardholders.Perform traffic duties at 2 Gate Mon-Fri including vehicle inspections.Perform rover duties as requested by the Security Shift Supervisor as well as vehicle inspections at remote gates and contraband (bag) searches at various location.Network DemandsLiaise with SMC Portal staff and Genetec Admin (pass daily information and changes to procedures).Liaise with other security staff on site.Liaise with Site Security Leader (SSL) to physically inspect issues with doors, gates, readers etc. and request further maintenance if necessary; provide information on any negative impacts to SMC Portal activities; follow-up on any alarms requiring SSL attention.Provide assistance to all IOL contacts and contractors when requested.Liaise with the Security Management Team.Utility Gate Essential Job Functions:Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct random vehicle checks and inspections as required by the client.Maintain accurate gate logs, and to retain them as required by the client.Perform access control at assigned location checking badges/proper swipes.Ensure vehicles have proper pass and signage before entering site.Ensure material is not being removed from sight unauthorized.Secure all gates/fence line at the conclusion of each shift.Observe all perimeters and report all suspicious activity to supervisor.Perform temperature checks screening locations.Operate vehicles to and from work location and to perform patrols.Liaise with other security staff on site.Provide assistance to all IOL contacts and contractors when requested.Liaise with site Security Front Line Supervisor.Watch for and report irregularities by completing investigations and incident reports, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contact emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel, as required.Fast paced work environment that may require you to be on your feet for extended periods of time.Requirements:At least two years of security experience in an industrial setting would be an asset.Post-Secondary education in a law enforcement/security program from a recognized college an asset.A Valid Drivers class G license with clean abstract.System Administrators need to have extensive general computer knowledge to perform all required tasks. Must possess a detailed knowledge of the MS Office, with the ability to extract and manipulate data using MS Access/Excel. A working knowledge of relational database composition, operation and query functions an asset.Experience working at the IOL site or Portal Gate would be considered an asset.Possess good general office and organizational skills.This position requires excellent communication skills written and verbal with the emphasis on practical industrial knowledge.
