Job DescriptionAPPLY BY EMAIL with the subject line “Video Editor & ContentCreator” and include a resume, portfolio if you have one, and links to your work online (if any)!The Video Editor + Content Creator will be responsible for supporting all Social Media platforms and formats for Discovered Social’s clientele and company marketing needs. This includes (but is not limited to) reviewing audio and visual footage and using Premiere Pro or similar (and other software/applications necessary) to organize clips into a cohesive YouTube video, designing and editing graphics, vertical videos (IG/TikTok), and other content post types for various social media platforms. **This is a combination role, where roughly 1/2 of you time will be Video Editing tasks, and 1/2 will be Content Creation and On-Site tasks.The Video Editor duties will focus primarily on Real Estate Videography and include splitting and combining video clips, adding appropriate text, sounds, graphics, motion graphics, and watching the finished product to catch mistakes before submitting for review.The Content Creation duties will include creating content assigned to you by Discovered Social on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis; this can include creating Carousel Graphics, IG Reels/TikToks,Memes, writing captions, etc.Additional duties will include going on-site during Real Estate Photo/Video shoots to help with equipment, flash photography, etc. Having a photography/videography background would be an asset, but not required.Examples of tasks the Video Editor + Content Creator may need to perform include:

• Assembling raw footage, editing to company standards, and transferring or uploading it

Google Drive and/or Dropbox for review

• Following the clients instructions, Discovered Social’s guidelines and creative outline
• Adding sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and/or sound effects to appropriately capture the video’s message
• Creating graphics, images, or animations to enhance footage
• Splicing or cross-fading audio and/or video clips and synchronizing them into one rough cut file.
• Improving and correcting lighting, color temperatures, etc. for optimal video picture quality
• Creating engaging graphics in Canva and Reels in Instagram and/or Adobe Premiere Pro based on clientele brand guides and/or Discovered Social’s instructions

• Working closely with the Owner to present a final product that matches client specifications and Discovered Social’s standards.

Experience and Skills Required:

• This position requires the above editing and design experience, - please provide a resume, and portfolio including edits and graphic designs you have completed in the past
• Knowledge or experience in Adobe Premiere Pro recommended (but other software such as

Power Director Pro or Apple’s Final Cut Pro is acceptable as well)

• Ability to think beyond traditional design concepts and generate creative design ideas that inspire and captivate the end viewer and satisfy the requirements of clients
• Excellent time management skills and be available to meet client/Company deadlines
• Must work well in a team environment and have communication skills for both internal and external email and/or video communication
• Organized and self-motivated

Equipment Required:

• Computer/Laptop that can handle large editing projects
• Subscription to video editing software, licensed music, and applicable apps PROVIDED

Hours and Compensation:

• This is a part-time position with potential to become a full-time position post probationary period.
• This position starts at approx. 20 hours per week
• The hourly rate will be dependent on experience and discussed if offered the position

This is a part-time position, with the opportunity for expansion to full-time. Ideally, the candidate would have a flexible schedule to accommodate for a variety of hours each week, averaging 20 hours per week.
