ResponsibilitiesThe HR Advisory Services team is hiring an Accounting Technician, Payroll on a temporary basis at our Home Office in Saskatoon, SKWho we are:As a co-operative, we do business differently. To learn more about who we are, visit *************What you’ll do:You will liaise and collaborate with the FCL Payroll team and Local Co-ops to obtain documentation or reason for entries when unclear. You will also work closely with the Payroll Supervisor to prepare the quarterly working papers related to Payroll Accounts.You will complete a periodic review of the Payroll General Ledger and associated GL accounts to ensure payroll journal entries are accurate and error free.You will prepare journal entries as required in JD Edwards and Vista –Mainframe system.You will prepare communications to answer questions on outstanding items and irregularities, as required.You will prepare reconciliations of assigned Payroll general ledger accounts, including following up on outstanding items.You will maintain department files as required.Why it matters:We help local Co-ops grow and thrive by offering a range of professional services, including marketing, market research, information technology, human resources, accounting, risk management and business development.Who you are:You are looking for a career in Human Resources & Training and:You have a high school diploma and two post-secondary courses in financial accounting from an accredited post-secondary institution.You have a minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience.
