The Saskatchewan College of Opticians (SCO) is looking to fill the position of an administrative assistant on a part-time basis. This administrative assistant will assist the Registrar and Council through various office tasks.The successful candidate will be professional, polite, punctual, and attentive.Responsibilities: - Answer and direct phone calls.- Take detailed minutes.- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms.- Assist the Registrar in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.- Develop and maintain a filing system.- Website management (Basic HTML and CSS)- Order office supplies.- Assist in booking travel arrangements.- Greet and assist visitors to the office.- Maintain polite and professional communication through any and all correspondence.Requirements: *You must be a Saskatoon or the surrounding area resident to be eligible for consideration, as this is an in-house position. Along with relevant skills, you will only be considered for the position if you complete the phone screen or requested assessments.*- Experience as an Administrative Assistant, Secretary, or Clerical Administrator.- Typing skills - 60 wpm.- Data entry- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.- Working knowledge of office equipment, i.e., computers, printers, and fax machines.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs and other applicable programs.- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.- High School completion.- Additional qualification in Office Administration will be preferred but not a requirement.Please submit resumes with a cover letter to the attention of Cathy Elliott.Only successful applicants will be contacted for an interview.Job Types: Part-time, PermanentPart-time hours: 21 per weekSalary: $16.00 per hourSchedule:
