Job Description

Marsh Canada Limited is seeking candidates for the following position based in Saskatoon:Administrative Assistant / Junior Client RepresentativeWhat can you expect

  • The Administrative Assistant / Junior Client Representative is a hybrid role consisting of both internal and external responsibilities. Primary responsibilities include responding to client needs and supporting client teams in consumer/commercial, corporate, and risk management segments as well as performing a variety of administrative tasks for the Marsh Saskatoon and Regina offices.
  • The position provides exposure to Marsh’s systems as well as a solid foundation of our client service cycle and exposure to our team and culture.
  • Within 60 days, it is expected the Administrative Assistant / Junior Client Representative will have completed majority of the online mandatory Marsh classes and successfully completed the Saskatchewan Insurance Brokers License (if not already licensed).
  • Training is provided by Marsh nationally via webinars and online courses as well as in person training by the senior Saskatchewan team. The training regime focuses on Marsh systems, processes, efiling and ethics.

We will count on you to:Administrative Assistant: Support the Marsh Saskatoon and Regina offices in the following capacities:
  • Co-ordinate office services for both Marsh Saskatoon and Marsh Regina.
  • Liaise with the Insurance Councils of Saskatchewan to apply/renew insurance Broker Licenses for colleagues across Canada.
  • Adhere to best practices and expense control (i.e. travel rates, office supplies, parking, catering, vendors, etc.) using iProcurement.
  • Edit and create documents using PowerPoint, Excel & Word while ensuring all documents produced adhere to Mercer’s global identity/document standards.
  • Produce a variety of reports including, but not limited to: renewal reports, MarshForce reports and client list reports.
  • Perform clerical duties, including file management, sending and receiving mail/courier packages.
  • Manage leadership calendars, schedule meetings, and arrange travel for leadership.
  • Assist team with a variety of administrative tasks as assigned.
Junior Client Representative: Co-ordinate with Senior Client Representatives and service teams in Saskatoon and Regina, per the following:
  • Respond to client inquiries and insurer coverage/documentation requests; solves problems regarding client account issues.
  • Assist with the collection of renewal information from clients.
  • Assist in producing client proposals, analysis and presentations.
  • Edit and create documents using PowerPoint, Excel & Word while ensuring all documents produced adhere to Marsh’s global identity/document standards.
  • Verify insurance policies for accuracy and forward to clients along with a policy transmittal letter.
  • Reporting of claims as required.
  • Maintain renewal lists for the service team.
What you need to have:
  • Results oriented with a strong client service focus.
  • Post secondary education preferred or equivalent business experience in a professional services environment.
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office including: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to support multiple teammates and clients at any given time.

  • Possess a solid understanding, or ability to learn, basic property/casualty insurance principals and risk management concepts.
