Researcher–Job Posting Full time Term to March 31, 2023 The Saskatchewan First Nations Family and Community Institute Inc. (SFNFCI) is a leading, innovative, sustainable, holistic center of research and professional learning to organizations serving children, youth, and families. SFNFCI is growing and building a Research Team to fulfill project initiatives in areas including but not limited to: Disabilities, Child Welfare, Income Assistance Reform, Group Homes, Shelters, Long Term Care Reform, and Youth.The research team will work from SFNFCI office in Saskatoon. The ability to create and maintain relationships is fundamental for this team. Research is community and grassroots driven. Ability to travel to First Nations rural and remote communities is a requirement of the job. Knowledge and experience of First Nations and communities’ protocols is an asset.The Research Team will:· Conduct knowledge and literature research in areas related to the service of children, youth and families and or any other special projects led by the Saskatchewan First Nations Family and Community Institute.· Develop programs of research and work in partnership to plan projects, including establishing advisory committees, determining appropriate methods, conducting both quantitative and qualitative data gathering and analysis, and preparing publishable papers, reports, and materials on the findings of research.· Coordinate with management, staff, funders, partners, and or committees to determine research objectives, identify key activities, create timeline, and identify key dates/deadlines· Follow “OCAP” (own, control, access and possess information) principles to ensure the development and maintenance of respectful relations to First Nations stakeholders. Maintain confidentiality and follow protocols. Follow established practices for data storage and sharing and evaluate applicability and cultural relevance in various research methodologies.· Analyze data (quantitative and qualitative) using various techniques and programs (SPSS, NVivo, Survey Monkey etc.)· Perform thematic and or statistical analysis and generate tables, diagrams, images to represent data and findings· Draft final reports and associated reporting documents and deliver presentations; answer questions pertaining to the projectJob Types: Full-time, Fixed term contractContract length: 12 monthsSalary: From $69,900.00 per yearSchedule:
