Services to clients may include triaging of acute medical, psychiatric, substance abuse and withdrawal issues. Individual will also provide support to community partners within the multidisciplinary teams. The position is responsible to provide services to highly marginalized populations; including provision of appropriate nursing interventions which include but are not limited to wound management and foot care. The incumbent provides information/education to a wide variety of disciplines across healthcare sectors and community partners. This individual must be able to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team. This position may also be accountable for providing medical support for Calder Centre as required. Other responsibilities may include participating in policy and procedure development, maintaining program data bases, performing quality improvement, and serving as a consultant to individuals and groups of health professionals within the Saskatoon Health Region and community.Required QualificationsBachelor Degree/Diploma in NursingBasic Life Support and Level CRegistered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) or Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)ExperienceRequires a minimum of three (3) years (post graduate) recent experience in a community or acute mental health setting working with individuals presenting with acute and/or chronic mental health and addiction concerns.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbilFor more information on this job, please visit the employer #39;s website.
