Job Description

Thats why were always looking ahead, and not just to the next project or whats next in our industry.The Saskatoon district is accepting applications for Construction Modeler Students to work for 4 or 8 months starting in January 2023.As a student at PCL, you will get the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive environment which promotes personal and professional growth. PCL students will have the chance to work on some of the most exciting projects currently underway in Saskatoon. As a PCL student, you will be given similar responsibilities as a full-time, entry level Field Engineer, so you can experience what a career will be like in project management, field supervision, pre-construction and estimating.As a Construction Modeler Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:Responsibilities

  • Assists building virtual models from plans, specifications, and elevations
  • Assists with the project team on the development of construction site logistics models.
  • Assists with model updates.
  • Assists the project team in the creation and processing of RFIs.
  • Promotes the use of virtual construction tools and processes to project staff.
QualificationsWhat you will bring to the role:
  • A strong desire to work in a construction environment. Prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
  • Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
