Seabee Gold Operation welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, abilities, and experiences to apply.SSR Mining – Seabee Gold Operation (SGO) is hiring for a Driller, Diamond.About Your New Role: Reporting to the Supervisor, Mine Operations, the Driller, Diamond, will be responsible for the moving, set-up, operation, and maintenance of diamond drills and related equipment that drill holes to obtain mineral (core) samples. You will be able to operate secondary equipment, including pumps and equipment used to prevent and correct problems. You will carry out minor maintenance repairs and be specialized in underground drilling.Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating hardrock portable hydraulic diamond drill rigs to bore holes to specified depths.
  • Performing repairs and maintenance to drill rigs and associated equipment.
  • Completing daily activity reports.
  • Managing inventory of spare parts and consumables.
  • Detailed knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical drilling systems and parts.
  • Operating hardrock portable hydraulic diamond drill rigs to bore holes to specified depths.
  • Performing repairs and maintenance to drill rigs and associated equipment.
Your Knowledge and Skills:
  • Be able to work in a physical demanding environment.
  • Attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Reading text, numeracy, write and oral communication, and critical thinking.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Work independently and within a team.
  • Positive and proactive attitude towards safety is essential.
Your Education and Experience: The successful candidate will have:
  • Completed Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years’ diamond drilling experience.
About Our Working Conditions: This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and La Ronge.Our Stipulations: This job posting complies with all Company standards, policies and procedures pertaining to appropriate conduct for employees, including the Code of Conduct.
