The successful candidate for this position will be the Morning Show co-producer and Morning Live reporter . However, you may be required to work a variety of shifts and perform a variety of duties. In this position, you will report directly to the News Manager in Saskatoon.Responsibilities:Strong on-air presentation, including live remotes and unscripted material.Generate original and relevant story/segment ideas.Write, produce, shoot, edit and post content with multiple deadlines on a daily basis for both broadcast and online.ENG photography and non-linear editing for broadcast and online.Publishing video content to website and social media channels.Available to work weekdays, evenings and weekendsProducing as requiredOther duties as assigned.What We Need From You:The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:Degree or diploma in Journalism/Broadcasting/Broadcast Technology from a recognized institution.Strong writing and storytelling skills.Valid driver’s license.Understanding of how major news organizations are employing a wide range of digital platforms and formats.Willingness to adapt to rapidly changing technology and workflows.Working knowledge of new media tools and technologies (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc), and related applications.Ability to handle the demands and pressure of multiple, daily online and broadcast deadlines in a high-tech environment.Proven abilities as a team player with a positive attitude.Self-starter with good communication skills.Familiarity with Canadian Press style and WordPress would be considered assets.Preference will be given to candidates with proven shooting and editing experience.Must work well under pressure, possess a desire to be the best, have a positive can-do attitude.Why CorusCorus is a driving force in the media industry with a diverse portfolio of strong brands that entertain and inform audiences through great storytelling and compelling content, reaching millions of people around the world every day.We have a passionate drive to connect with the world around us: to express, to share, to be part of peoples lives.
