The project will create a world-class potash mine with expected Stage 1 output of 4.35 million tonnes per annum. The project is expected to take six years to construct and two years for ramp up. Jansen Stage 1 includes the design, engineering, and construction of an underground potash mine and surface infrastructure, including a processing facility, a product storage building, and a continuous automated rail loading system.
