The Saskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre Inc. (Food Centre) seeks a professional individual who enjoys collaboration and the rewards of assisting food processing companies to bring new products to market. As an Extrusion Project Coordinator, you will be a part of a team developing new food products, assist in planning extrusion projects, work directly with clients, and drive initiatives in new ingredient usage in a number of different food products. This is a great opportunity for a creative person with strong organizational and communication skills. Our team seeks an individual that is detail-oriented, organized and solution-focused. Core Duties as Duties and Responsibilities:Selects and evaluates raw materials for experiments Lead the Extrusion team to meet client timelines/execution Establishes strong relationship with key suppliers and place purchase orders for extrusion R amp;D work Interfaces frequently with various internal departments (i.e. Product development, Ingredient Innovation) and customers in accomplishing project milestones Coordinates/schedule extrusion R amp;D trials with clients and internal teams Responsible to coordinate with their team to generate report/s which includes data collection, data entry and pictures taking Responsible for shipping documents and coordinate RTE product shipments with Extrusion Specialist/Internal Team and client Develop in-process and finished product manufacturing specification have clients sign off for hand off to Toll Manufacturing Maintains accurate, up to date records, laboratory notebooks and computer database Prepare and document all plant validation trials according to department protocol Maintains a sanitary, safe and orderly work environment All other duties as assigned Provide good written and verbal communication skills.Professional Requirements:Project Coordinator – Extrusion R amp;D is expected to: Enter into a Confidentiality Agreement with the Food Centre Conduct their self in a professional manner by positively and accurately representing the Food Centre to clients and to the public at large Work collaboratively and proactively the Food Centre team to serve client needs efficiently and effectively Utilize lab/office space, lab/office equipment and lab/office supplies provided by the Food Centre Prioritize working on-site at the Food Centre, located at 2335 Schuyler Street, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, unless other arrangements are made Occasionally travel to meet with clients and collaborating agencies Externally promoting the Food Centre in order to bring new clients into the Extrusion Program as we continue to develop the industryDeadline for applicants is October 7, 2023 Successful candidates will be contacted for an interview.
