Job Description

JUN 2024-JUN 2025 CANADA THE ROLE: Field Assistants carry out a variety of field tests and field data collection, in addition to participating in various geological, environmental, and drilling programs. Under direction from members of the Technical Services Team, the Field Assistants support projects located in the Athabasca Basin and for which work will be based out of remote camps. Work may be performed at a variety of locations, including Denison-owned sites and worksites owned by owners that have retained Denison to perform work.There are 6 vacancies for fixed term contracts starting on or about January 15, 2025, for an approximate 8-month term. The successful candidates must be willing and able to regularly travel and work on a 2-week on/2-week off rotation and will be responsible for arranging their own travel to a designated pick-up point on-route from Denison’s warehouse in Saskatoon to the various Project sites. Denison offers competitive compensation and shall provide board and lodging while at the Project site and all required PPE.Note: To be considered for this role, applicants must be eligible to work in Canada. As a reliable, highly motivated, and safety-oriented Field Assistant, you bring sound organizational skills, a strong sense of responsibility and demonstrated effectiveness in collaborating with others to achieve results. Additional qualifications and attributes include:

  • 1-2 years of applicable work experience in mineral exploration or mining, preferably uranium, is ideal.
  • Experience and willingness to work with high-grade uranium mineralization is required.
  • Geotechnical core logging experience is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability following directions and a willingness and aptitude to learn new skills and field test procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel is preferred, along with a willingness to learn and use other technologies
and software as required.Field Assistant Role Type: Fixed Term Contracts (x 6) Location: Saskatoon/Northern Saskatchewan• Strong interpersonal skills that support safe, collaborative and inclusive relationships with peers and contractors within aremote workplace environment.
  • Possession of a Drivers’ License that is valid and in good standing, and the willingness to operate vehicles in remote areas.
  • Experience driving an ATV is an asset, and willingness to be trained to safely operate other motorized site-based equipment
is required.
  • Certified in First Aid is strongly preferred.
  • An uncompromising commitment to always working safely, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Willingness and ability to carry out work tasks and duties outdoors up to 75% of the time, team lifting to 50 lbs regularly,
and with varying hours of work (up to 12 hours per day while in the field).
  • Ability to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and assigned; CSA-approved steel toe boots are
mandatory for all tasks.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Actively participate in a variety of geological, hydrogeological, environmental, drilling and field programs at various Project
sites across the northern Athabasca Basin.
  • Accurately perform geological core logging, downhole borehole logging, and sampling.
  • Carryout geotechnical core logging and investigation.
  • Complete permeametry data collection and sampling.
  • Participate in hydrogeological investigations.
  • Support environmental baseline data collection.
  • Complete data sampling and compilation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Actively participate and contribute to status update meetings as required.
  • Report any hazards, unsafe conditions, near misses, accidents and/or incidents immediately and report to work fit for duty.
  • Ensure tasks and behaviors reflect compliance and commitment to both physical and psychological safety for oneself and
colleagues by performing all responsibilities and tasks in accordance with the Company’s established policies, protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
