What you will do Perform installation, integrations, commissioning, and service activities on access control systems, CCTV, intrusion alarms, intercom systems, and Nurse Call systems. How you will do it Install and inspect equipment to meet customer expectations and manufacturer specifications. Field coordination and communication, system programming, integrations, commissioning, AHJ testing and training on new system installations Evaluate and diagnose equipment that requires servicing as well as troubleshooting potential field wiring problems Provide specific solutions and recommendations to customers on the most efficient and cost-effective method in restoring a specific system back to normal condition Manage assigned Electronic Systems service calls regarding field labour hours estimated Customer satisfaction through coordination, response to customer requests and problems Prepare reports on daily activities May be required to work overtime May be required to work out of town Read and understand complicated blueprints, diagrams, schematics, submittals, software/system programs, and operation/product manuals Capable of working in cramped workspaces such as ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. Required to work at heights – Ladders/AWP Must adhere to all JCI safety policies and procedures Complete mileage and monthly vehicle reports promptly What we look for Required Experience with Servers, and different operating systems. Working knowledge of personal computers (Windows 10, Server 2016) and Microsoft #39;s suite of Office software. Working knowledge of IT network systems. Ability to use hand and power tools and test equipment such as multi-meters, digital analyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters, and communication devices as required. Able to carry and move equipment/tools weighing up to 40 pounds. Demonstrated working knowledge of electricity and electronics. Experience with installation and service of access control, CCTV, intrusion, and intercom systems. Minimum high school/trade school graduate. Ability to effectively work independently. Demonstrated aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs. Demonstrated a high level of customer service. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable working in an environment that may involve climbing ladders and scaffoldings with equipment. Ability to work on Aerial Work Platform. Ability to read and understand complex building architectural, and electrical documents, as well as project plans, specifications, schedules, and equipment installation/operation/troubleshooting manual. Security experience with C-Cure 9000, Kantech, Genetec, Lenel/S2, Milestone, Exacq, Avigilon, DSC, Commend, AIPhone. Preferred 2-year Associate degree in a technical field involving electronics or computers. CCURE 9000 or Genetec, certification. JCI employees are valued members of the Johnson Controls family.
