Job Description

Field Operator - TemporaryOUR COMPANY:Denison Mines Corp. (“Denison”) is a uranium exploration and development company with project interests inthe Athabasca Basin region of northern Saskatchewan and office operations based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.Denison is a public company listed on the NYSE American and TSX stock exchanges, and is also engaged inmine care and maintenance for decommissioned mine sites through its Closed Mines group based in Elliot Lake,Ontario. Denison’s flagship project is the Wheeler River Uranium Project ("Wheeler River"), which is locatedapproximately 35 km north-northeast of Cameco’s Key Lake Operation and 35 km southwest of Cameco’sMcArthur River Operation in the eastern portion of the Athabasca Basin. The Project is accessible by vehicle andis located about 5 km west of Highway 914.Wheeler River is the largest undeveloped uranium project in the eastern portion of the Athabasca Basin regionin northern Saskatchewan, Canada. A Pre-Feasibility Study (“PFS”) was completed in accordance with NI 43-101 in September 2018 highlighting the selection of the in-situ recovery (“ISR”) mining method for thedevelopment of the high-grade Phoenix deposit. On September 22, 2021 Denison announced the initiation of theFeasibility Study (“FS”) for Wheeler River. Concurrently, Denison is also advancing the environmentalassessment (“EA”) process which is a critical step to securing the approvals necessary to develop and operatea mine in Canada.With the advancement of the ISR mining method, Wheeler River has the potential to be one of the lowest-costand most environmentally sustainable uranium mining operations in the world.In addition to supporting the Company’s efforts directed at the advancement of Wheeler River, Denison’sexploration team continues to actively pursue the growth of the Company’s uranium resource base including anobjective to discover of additional ISR amenable uranium resources in the Athabasca Basin region.THE ROLE:Denison is looking to hire up to 6-10 Temporary Field Operators. Reporting to the Denison Site Senior orOperations Supervisor, the primary responsibility of a Field Operator is to provide technical support to Denison’s2022 Feasibility Field Test.You will support the multidisciplinary technical activities occurring on the Wheeler River Site, and will beresponsible for the safe operation of field test equipment, coordinate data collection, complete sample analysis,and coordinating with the rest of Denisons team to solve site or project technical issues.The role is being offered as a temporary position starting on or about August 15, 2022 for an approximate 3-month term, with the possibility of extension.The position is based at Denison’s Wheeler River Project site, working on a 2-week on / 2-week off rotation. Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for arranging their own travel to a designated pick-up point en-routefrom Denison’s Saskatoon office to the Project site. Denison will provide board and lodging while at the Projectsite.The successful candidate will be required to follow and enforce Denisons health and safety policies andprocedures, including the Covid-19 Work Safe plan and Covid-19 vaccination protocol. All current staffand any visitors who will attend Denison’s offices, warehouses, field sites and operations are requiredto be vaccinated for Covid-19. Is a well-rounded candidate withgood organizational skills, a strong sense of responsibility and demonstrated ability to work well in a teamenvironment.In addition, successful candidates will have:

  • Previous relevant work experience (e.g., in mining industry, industrial worksite)
  • Previous experience with lockout tagout procedures, GHS/WHMIS, TDG, mobile equipment
operations
  • A commitment to Health and Safety in the workplace
  • Previous work experience in a remote location is considered an asset
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license (required)
  • Applicants with experience in lead-handing or supervision may be considered for supervisor roles
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate field processing equipment through several test phases, including a lixiviant injection,
neutralization, and solution treatment phase. Equipment may include but not be limited to:o Start-up/shut-down sequenceso Pumpso Valveso Process tankso Reagents preparationo Control systems
  • Monitor standard operating conditions such as field alarms, set-point adjustments, operating
parameters and troubleshoot issues, adjust to ensure stable operations, or notify supervisors forsupport
  • Collect process samples, prepare samples for shipment, perform basic field analysis (i.e.
pH/ORP/Conductivity/SG) on samples
  • Follow Standard Operating and Work Procedures
