We are one of the very few companies who possess the ability to integrate many diverse systems together, employing a combination of existing technology, electronics design and prototyping, software design and web technologies.We are seeking System Configuration Technicians to perform programming of Gallagher Access Control software in multi-site large campus applications.Qualified candidates must be knowledgeable in access control hardware and have previous experience programming access control systems. Attention to detail is very important. These systems can get quite complicated, mistakes can cause a lot of damage, the candidate must have a strong understanding in this technology and be able to use critical thinking to avoid costly mistakes. USI will provide training as required to learn the software, the previous experience with access control is a prerequisite for this training. Candidate should have good documentation skills and be a quick learner with new software as a large component of this position will be going into older legacy software to export or document the setup before migrating them to Gallagher.Additional Responsibilities:· Must be competent with MS Office products and Windows OS.· Become familiar and adept at using all vendor specific software that our organization uses. This means you need the ability to learn new software quickly.· Exercise a high degree of accuracy – we are highly detail oriented and you will be evaluated on your attention to detail.· Utilize past knowledge, experience, and online research to perform troubleshooting. You will be assessed on your troubleshooting skills.· Must be organized and have the ability to follow strict procedures in regards to documentation.· Ability to quickly and effectively write reports and documentation to provide to clients and end-users. You will be assessed on your communication skills.· Performs other related duties as required.Qualifications:· Completion of high school and a certificate of training in any IT discipline.· 3-5 years of experience in a Access Control programming related position.· Experience with networking and IP enabled devices.· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.Conditions of Employment:
