Job Description

We are looking for high energy personable individuals looking for a long term career.Through our 6 branches in Western Canada we have been serving the construction/industrial markets for over 55 years.Job Description

  • Serve customers on the telephone and in person in our showroom
  • Answer questions about products and their applications to find the right solution for the customer
  • Key in quotes and orders, pick, pack and label orders
  • Manage and maintain a small warehouse to ensure the shelves are full and organized
  • Housekeeping in the showroom - fill and clean shelves, sweep, rotate stock
  • Process orders at POS - credit card machine, returns, etc
  • Work with outside sales reps to ensure orders are filled quickly and accurately
  • Collaborate with purchasing team, warehouse team and front office
Key Skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Must be able to sell, not just take orders
  • Product knowledge - building materials (other than lumber - i.e. steel and concrete, commercial electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc), power tools & accessories, fasteners, safety products
  • Computer literate
  • Problem solving, decision making and continuous learning
  • Very organized and able to work in a fast paced team environment
  • Excellent communication skills - writing, telephone, effective listening
  • ACCURACY and attention to detail are a must
  • Numeracy and ability to work with fractions
This is a multi-faceted position requiring an adaptable person with hustle and a sense of urgency. The job includes some office work, order desk (customer facing), telephone, and warehouse.HEAVY LIFTING IS INVOLVED - ability to lift 50 pounds is requiredCONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.Only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
