Job Description

In business for 38 years, Can-Seed Equipment Ltd. is the distributor for a variety of top-quality grain cleaning and handling equipment. Offering a variety of equipment lines for seed processing, handling, and packaging enables Can-Seed Equipment Ltd. to design complete processing facilities or offer upgrades to existing facilities.Can-Seed Equipment Ltd. is currently recruiting for an Internal Draftsman to join their growing team. Ideally, this person is very professional and highly motivated with experience working within the agriculture industry. This individual must possess exceptional time management skills, strong attention to detail, and someone who can exceed in a fast-past work environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce highly accurate and detailed drawings for a variety of project areas.
  • Prepare 2D and 3D drawings and models.
  • Experience using AutoCAD.
  • Candidates must create drawings and be flexible when revisions are necessary and be able to meet every-changing deadlines.
  • Strong math skills, problem-solving skills and artistic ability are key.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Good attitude, willingness to learn and perform work in a professional manner.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized and self-motivated.
  • Able to work independently and as a team.
  • Able to handle seasonal increase in workload and work under specific deadlines.
  • Experience in the agriculture industry would be considered a huge asset.
  • Diploma or certificate in drafting or mechanical engineering.
