We are looking for someone to assist in our shop with a variety of jobs and tasks. Rod #39;s is the premier dealership in Saskatoon for classic cars, muscle cars, hotrod #39;s and specialty interest vehicles. Imagine getting to work on the cool cars of your dreams!Our new Jr. Tech will be responsible for things like:Mechanical inspections of vehicles - using tools and hoist providedMechanical work as required - small repairs, oil changes, general maintenance, etc.Assisting our Journeymen Technicians and Specialists with jobs as neededDriving errands such as picking up parts and moving vehiclesDetailing vehicles including exteriors, interiors and undercoatingClean up around the shop - keeping work areas neat and tidyVarious other tasks as neededAs a Jr. Tech, you #39;ll get a chance to learn and grow, working with both a red-seal Journeyman Technician and a Restoration Specialist with over 40 years in the business of working on classic cars.A qualified candidate for our job would posses the following skills and abilities:Has some experience working with hand toolsHas some experience weldingAlready has experience in the automotive industry - possible previous employment could include working at an oil change shop or tire shop etc.Has an extreme eye for detail - pays attention to the small stuff.Has a clean driving record - driver #39;s abstract requiredIs a self-starter, able to self manage, stay motivated, and organizedIs able to take direction well from others and works as a cohesive member of the team.Extra skills that are nice to have but not necessarily mandatory include:Experience starting/driving vintage vehicles equipped with a chokeExperience driving a manual transmissionAlready works on vintage/classic vehicles on their own time.Full- time or part- time hours to be discussed based on availability.Wage to be determined based on education, experience, skills and abilities.If you believe you #39;re a qualified candidate, reply to this ad and be sure to include your resume.Qualified candidates will be contacted for further discussion.
