Pioneer Landscaping is an established landscape construction and maintenance company providing a large range of landscaping services to Saskatoon and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on the quality of workmanship we provide and the standard of customer service we uphold. We are currently looking to hire landscape labourers to join our team!Job duties include, but are not limited to: - Complete lawn and garden maintenance tasks such as planting, weeding, mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, etc.- Removal and installation of various materials (ex: soil, mulch, rock, sod, etc.)- Installation and repairs of new and existing irrigation systems- Planting a wide variety of trees, shrubs, and flowers- Installation of brick paving stones, slabs, and retaining walls- Driving company trucks and trailers- Operating various equipment including but not limited to, mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, vibratory plate tampers, saws, etc.- Maintain standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, job sites and shop/yard areas- Ensure quality of all completed work is to company and customer satisfactionRequirements: - Be physically able to perform daily duties, carry out strenuous tasks, work safely and efficiently- Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times and remain presentable- Communicate to supervisors, co-workers, and clients in a polite and courteous manner- Work outdoors in various conditions including heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold- Hold a valid class 5 drivers license- Must be able to take direction, work well in a team setting or independently with little supervision when needed- Have reliable transportation to get to and from work punctually and fit for duty each dayAssets: - General landscaping experience- Plant knowledge and identification- Irrigation systems and timer experience- Pruning- Skid steer operator experience- Mechanically inclinedThis is a great opportunity for someone who likes to work outdoors and has a strong work ethic.
