Job Description

Lakefield LLP is a Saskatchewan team with a modern take on law. We operate in a friendly and informal atmosphere, but always with professionalism.We currently have an opening for an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant. You will be working with lawyers and clients as they work through legal proceedings, including providing assistance with document preparation and administrative functions.If youre an experienced Litigation Assistant who takes pride in your quality of work and wants to be part of an active team, this position may appeal to you. Strong technological and organizational skills are needed, as is the ability to multi-task, prioritize and expedite workflow, and manage multiple lawyers’ practices at any given time.Your required skills, knowledge and abilities should include:- Diploma or Certificate from a recognized Legal Assistant Program;- 1 to 5+ years of experience as a Litigation Assistant including, but not limited to the areas of civil, debtor/creditor, family and criminal law;- Ability to process large volumes of documents and finalize legal pleadings;- Advanced PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Outlook along with other law firm specific software;- Strong dictation transcription skills;- Excellent proofreading skills;- The ability to work independently, follow instructions with minimal supervision and take initiative;- A willingness to learn and contribute to our team.- Positive attitude and great communication skills, both verbal & written.The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package, and a rewarding and positive work environment.We look forward to hearing from you and thank you for your interest, however only those being interviewed will be contacted.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per yearBenefits:
