This candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent equipment uptime through reactive and preventative maintenance, as well as developing and implementing equipment improvements to increase productivity and performance in fast paced manufacturing environment. This position is located in Saskatoon and not required to go underground.COMPENSATIONWith this opportunity, DSI Underground offers a compensation package including:competitive salarycomprehensive group benefitspension plan (DCPP)professional development programemployee engagement and social activitiesfree ParkingESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTroubleshoot equipment breakdowns and repair all manufacturing equipment.Perform root-cause analysis and make recommendations for improvement.Perform scheduled maintenance inspections and regular preventative maintenance of all manufacturing equipment.Commission new equipment.Design, assemble and/or fabricate equipment to improve manufacturing processes.REQUIRED COMPETENCIES3-5 years experience working in a maintenance position for a manufacturing company.Experience with various methods of metal fabrication including welding, cutting, bending, and machining.Strong aptitude towards electrical and mechanical problem solving.Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
