Come and be a part of this success.About PotashBHP’s Jansen Potash Project, located approximately 140 km east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is the Company’s first and most advanced potash project. Jansen will add diversity and a Canadian presence to our global portfolio. Jansen’s large resource endowment provides the opportunity to develop it in stages, with anticipated initial capacity of 4.35 Mtpa. The BHP Board has recently sanctioned Jansen Project (Stage 1), with a US $5.7 billion investment. The project is now entering the construction phase, with the first potash expected in 2027.PurposeProvides leadership, vision, and direction to the Operations Readiness team in regards to integrated operations and planning, including technology. The team is accountable for development of team routines, processes, and work instructions to deliver optimal outcomes in safety, productivity, and operating cost for future teams operating out of the Integrated Operations Centre.About the RoleRecruit the future production team to align with:BHP Charter of values, code of conduct, and Operating System.Clear and unwavering commitment to our Potash vision and value driversLead the team to develop the integrated operations program for the Jansen Operation including:Team culture, routines to maximize time in fieldManaging of performance through balancing capacity and visualizing performance.Managing risks and implementing and monitoring controls owned.Development of processes and digital work instructionsManaging program of improvements to project and operations value driver.Implement the Integrated Operations Readiness plans scopes of work for the operations functions within the offsite Integrated Operations centre.Manage Operations Readiness program for scope including:Regular performance and progress monitoring including reporting.Scope change management including improvement programProject risk management and assurance management including execution reviews and audits.Manage the deployment of the integrated operations, short term scheduling, integrated planning, technology interface and emergency coordination processes for the Jansen operations.Collaborate and align resources with peer operations readiness teams including: Jansen Site Operations, Maintenance Strategy & Planning, Logistics, and BHP Operating System.Interface with the Jansen Project Teams to align on schedule priorities and manage improvements and risks to project value.Own and develop the Jansen Production Ramp-up Management Plan.About YouPeople LeadershipExperience leading / engaging people and creating and environment of trust and collaboration amongst different operational teams / crews / shifts.Experience / exposure prioritising different projects or resources, articulating and presenting analyses and results to diverse audiences ranging from operational crews to senior leadership.Proven experience in developing talent.Adaptable to changing priorities and emerging issues.Responsive to team’s needs with ability to adjust based on feedback.Anticipate and resolve potential conflicts within and across teams.Communicates complex and technical information to large groups in simplified and visionary waysUnderstands the capabilities of their teams and acts to develop capability.Strong decision making skills and confidence in their actions.Functional Experience PreferredMultiple years of experience managing / leading people in heavy industry or manufacturing (mining preferred).Significant experience in the application of workplace safety standards with good judgement for safety observations.Proven experience on process & routine development including application of analytical tools (modelling and simulation).Experience leveraging technology (such as data analytics) to deliver outcomes.History of leading recruitment drives while maintaining focus on meeting cultural outcomes.Contract management experience across full lifecycle from establishment to close-out.Management of budgeting, cost control and continuous improvementAbout Our ProcessAt BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
