  • Recruit the future production team to align with:
  • BHP Charter of values, code of conduct, and Operating System.
  • Clear and unwavering commitment to our Potash vision and value drivers
  • Recruit and lead the team to develop the Maintenance Strategy & Planning program for the Jansen Operation including:
  • Asset Management Program
  • Predictive Maintenance Program
  • Machine Health and Condition Monitoring Program
  • Engineering Operations & Operations Small Projects
All in line with BHP Maintenance and Engineering Centre of Excellence (MECoE), best practices and value addition for Jansen Operations requirements.
  • Provides operational leadership into the identification of the most critical plant and equipment at a broad system level in order to prioritise the maintenance effort in execution and operations phases.
  • Manages the deployment of the defect elimination process and systems across the business
Lead a team that provides expertise to manage Total Equipment Strategies (TES) development across the Potash Operations from the mine, process plant, rail and port operations. This includes:
  • Leading adhere to TES work standards through coaching of the purpose and functionality of critical controls relevant to their work.
  • Identifies and replicates best maintenance strategies and practices into Total Equipment Strategies to improve performance.
  • Engages with the MECoE to incorporate Total Equipment Strategies in key standards decisions.
  • Leads the team to optimise the scope by collaborating with the Project Engineering function, Supply, Finance and Original Equipment Manufacturers.
About the Role Cont.Manage Operations Readiness program for scope including:
  • Regular performance and progress monitoring including reporting.
  • Scope change management including improvement program
  • Project risk management and assurance management including execution reviews and audits.
  • Manages planned 3rd party support contracts through the execution phase of the Jansen project.
Collaborate and align resources with peer operations readiness teams including: Jansen Integrated Operations, Jansen Site Operations, Logistics, and BHP Operating System.About You
  • Multiple years of experience in a maintenance capacity in mining or heavy industry
  • Significant experience in the application of workplace safety standards with good judgement for safety observations.
  • Proven experience on equipment strategy development including application of analytical tools (modelling and simulation).
  • Experience operating at both Process and System level with the ability to review overall equipment performance as well as drill into specifics.
  • Experience leveraging advancing technology (such as data analytics) to deliver outcomes.
  • Has lead strategy development to deliver equipment performance using reliability methodologies.
  • Has experience in execution of maintenance, including exposure to failure diagnosis and repair methods.
  • Contract management experience across contract full lifecycle from establishment to close-out.
  • Ability to interpret business outlooks and develop them into a long term strategy
  • Management of budgeting, cost control and continuous improvement.
  • Engineering or other relevant tertiary education preferred.
The following skills/experience are advantageous:
  • Local safety and statutory regulations
  • Front Line and/or Maintenance Management experience preferred.
