Hybrid working (flexible, shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP.PurposeReporting to the Head of Directional Studies Potash, the Manager Permitting provides direction on effective and efficient planning and delivery of permitting and licensing for studies. The Manager Permitting will create value for a portfolio of investments through developing and managing an integrated permitting strategy, managing plans in alignment with than strategy and forward investment plans.About the RoleIn this role, you will:Explore permitting challenges and assess the best fit and solutions, take ownership of project permitting decisions and outcomes, and monitor and manage impacts to value across the investment portfolio lifecycle (e.g. social, environmental, commercial). Develop and maintain integrated permitting deliverables and integrates across the investment portfolio through interfacing with internal and external stakeholders and managing the successful transition of strategy into operational plans. Define permitting objectives and schedules, identifies critical activities, monitors the plan/schedule and drives continuous improvement initiatives across investments at BHP. Monitor and manage performance to permitting in line with BHP standards, investment requirements, budget and scope. Manage consultant and contractor execution and analysis to maximize operational and financial performance and mitigate exposure and risk. Translate corporate objectives into actionable plans across the investment portfolio; communicating, managing, and analyzing the implementation of those plans; and reporting back on their progress to facilitate the delivery of our strategy. Engage and build relationships with a variety of internal and external organizational stakeholders Identify and assess risks, make risk informed decisions, use BHP #39;s risk management framework and build a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.About You10+ years of experience in roles related to regulatory engagement, working with senior leadership teams in management of regulatory strategy and risk management, and leading the deployment of integrated environmental, regulatory, and community engagement plans. A post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant discipline. Experience in Provincial and/or Federal-level regulatory environments.
