This position is located in Yorkton, Saskatchewan and requires relocation to the community.Established metal Manufacturing company is seeking a leader for the role of Manufacturing Operations Manager.Leon Mfg. Company Inc. is a Saskatchewan based manufacturer of LEON brand agricultural material handling products and RAMROD brand compact utility loaders. The position is located in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, a thriving Saskatchewan city serving as the center of the third largest trading area in the province.The Manufacturing Manager works closely with the Plant Manager and entire Production team to lead and achieve all Company factory objectives. They are key member of the Management team.Responsibilities include:Plan and efficiently execute production schedules;Organize, hire, direct, and motivate the production team to achieve objectives;Oversee procurement needs, vendor relations and cost reduction initiatives;Implement and sustain lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement programs;Troubleshoot and efficiently resolve customer service or product needs; andEnsure strict adherence to all OH&S and safety requirements.Qualifications include:Minimum 5-10 years’ experience leading people and processes in a factory setting;Demonstrated ability to plan, lead, and achieve manufacturing objectives;Above average communication and interpersonal skills with all internal and external customers;Highly motivated and self-directed, possessing a positive can-do attitude;Working knowledge and success implementing lean principles;Computer literacy and exposure to ERP or production planning systems;Knowledge of metal manufacturing processes is an asset; andPost-secondary training in engineering, production or business is an asset; although equivalent years of experience in a related position will be considered.We offer a competitive starting salary based on applicable skills and experience with performance-based pay, a full benefits plan, company matched pension plan, and the opportunity to work with a progressive and growing organization.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentQuick Apply
