Parrishamp; Heimbecker, Limited (P amp;H) has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as a Packing Operator for our Milling division based in Saskatoon, SK.P amp;H MillingP amp;H is the largest Canadian-owned milling company. The P amp;H Milling Group sources wheat from Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada to produce quality flour and cereal products. The lineup includes hard red spring wheat flour for breads and other bakery products, soft winter wheat flour for cakes and cookies, as well as semolina flour for pasta, organic flour, and atta flour for chappati. In our specialty milling operation in Saskatoon, we also mill pea fractions.From its mills in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Acton, Hanover, Hamilton, and Cambridge, Ontario; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Lethbridge, Alberta, the P amp;H Milling Group supplies flour to customers throughout Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Iceland, and Pacific Rim countries.Wage and BenefitsWage: $21.23/hr – $23.15/hrParrishamp; Heimbecker Ltd has a people-first approach therefore, we offer many perks to our hard-working staff! Your RoleAs a Packer, the successful candidate will report to the Production Supervisor and will support the operations, performing his/her duties in a safely and timely manner within the Mill.Day to Day
  • Weigh, pack and load flour products in a safe manner.
  • Operate tote filling and packer systems, along with stretch wrap machines.
  • Keep the work area tidy and perform sanitation duties throughout the plant as required.
  • Complete and follow all Healthamp; Safety training relating to the job.
  • Perform other plant duties as required and assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a general laborer position and manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.
  • Must be able to safely lift and stack 25kg bags.
  • Must be able to work in an environment that is exposed to dust.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be able to work shiftwork (12 hours shifts, working 4 on and 4 off with a Night/Day rotation which includes working weekends.
